Tluppuk[edit]
User: Tluppuk (talk · contributions · Move log · block log · uploads · Abuse filter log)
Reason for reporting: Also user "Hhahoaldg2". REASON = These are sockpuppets of "Musée Annam" and categorise images in a very idiosyncratic and unorthodox manner, see redirecting "Category:People wearing conical straw hats in Vietnam" to "Category:Nón tơi". --Donald Trung 『徵國單』 (No Fake News 💬) (WikiProject Numismatics 💴) (Articles 📚) 18:30, 20 January 2024 (UTC)
- I concur; both accounts seem to be his. It's quite clear from edits like this (using hyphens between words) and this (old-style swearing), not to mention the topic. Both reported to m:SRG. NguoiDungKhongDinhDanh 03:29, 21 January 2024 (UTC)
- A puppet of C/Musee Annam/Đăng Đàn Cung. After insulting me [1] and was banned as an IP user, he now created a new account.
- “Category:Fake flags of Donald Trung” created by this account is a desperate attempt to counter the Category:Fake SVGs by 南文會館. This puppet claimed Donald Trung was uploading fake flags, but Trung’s files were made based on sources. While Musee Annam’s only source is “trust me bro” (he added some links that claimed as source, but no one can check them (they just direct to Wikimedia-Wikipedia pages) — Daeva Trạc (talk) 03:49, 21 January 2024 (UTC)
- Done I have been through a lot of their edits (from all the three four accounts), and it is behaviourally "most likely", and a clear case of {{Duck}}. Blocked and tagged. ─ The Aafī (talk) 06:46, 21 January 2024 (UTC)
- Ggmarien is another sockpuppet; he's done the same exact bizarre editing error on all of his uploads that Hhahoaldg2 and like one or two other accounts did. They're spread out and he would abandon those other ones after uploading for some bizarre reason. NorthTension (talk) 11:02, 21 January 2024 (UTC)
- Oh mb I didn't see Trung's new post, is it fine if I collect his dropped sockpuppets here or should I make a separate post? I've never used this page before NorthTension (talk) 11:05, 21 January 2024 (UTC)
- Done Blocked. Yann (talk) 11:24, 21 January 2024 (UTC)
- @Donald Trung, Daeva Trạc, and NorthTension: Instead of moving categories, just report them and nuke all edits. This is the best way to DENY them the right to edit here. Yann (talk) 11:35, 21 January 2024 (UTC)
- Yann, I'm not a fan of nuking and "WP:DENY", especially since a lot of their uploads are rare images which are often valuable, their only disruption came from categorisations, their uploads often need to be independently fact checked and I was in the process of fact checking their claimed "Flag of Hoa people" to see if it was accurate, it's quite common for them to upload legitimate images that are then deleted but later turn out to be quite valuable. -- — Donald Trung 『徵國單』 (No Fake News 💬) (WikiProject Numismatics 💴) (Articles 📚) 11:41, 21 January 2024 (UTC)
- As you like, but this just encourage them to continue. Why don't you upload these files yourself? Yann (talk) 12:15, 21 January 2024 (UTC)
- Yann, many of these files are extremely rare to find or are SVG creations of files found in books. I don't like to encourage them, but if they don't disrupt I typically ignore him. Anyhow, thanks for cleaning up. — Donald Trung 『徵國單』 (No Fake News 💬) (WikiProject Numismatics 💴) (Articles 📚) 12:40, 21 January 2024 (UTC)
- I think you may have just deleted the only instances of them on the internet, unless you can recover them someone else is going to have to dig and re-do every single file he did and who knows how long that's going to take. NorthTension (talk) 15:31, 21 January 2024 (UTC)
- @Yann is there any way for you to restore any of the images you deleted? Like me and Trung said those are EXTREMELY rare. I can't find some archived on the Wayback Machine either. NorthTension (talk) 22:13, 22 January 2024 (UTC)
- I suppose you can make an undeletion request if you think any file is worth undeletion (and if license is fine) at COM:UDR. A direct way to locate the files is going to the user's logs. ─ The Aafī (talk) 22:35, 22 January 2024 (UTC)
- @Donald Trung, Daeva Trạc, and NorthTension: I undeleted some files (scans of old documents). Yann (talk) 19:27, 24 January 2024 (UTC)

Mass rollback needed[edit]
Some user mass tagged images for cropping when it isnt needed at all https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/DebbieUfedo could the changes be rolled back? --FMSky (talk) 08:28, 24 January 2024 (UTC)
- @FMSky: while these may be bad edits, they are almost certainly not vandalism. And when reporting someone on a board like this, you should always notify them on their user talk page, which you didn't do. And I'm not immediately sure that all of them are "bad", though some certainly are. - Jmabel ! talk 21:10, 24 January 2024 (UTC)
- @Jmabel: I don't notify users of reports about them on this particular board, and I didn't put that in the header here, per en:WP:DENY. — 🇺🇦Jeff G. ツ please ping or talk to me🇺🇦 23:31, 24 January 2024 (UTC)
- If the intent here were clearly vandalistic, I'd have no problem with that. This looks misguided, but quite possibly within the bounds of good faith. No objection to a mass rollback if someone thinks none (or almost none) of these are correct, but I'd suggest engaging this editor as a first step, not blocking them. - Jmabel ! talk 23:54, 24 January 2024 (UTC)
- @Jmabel: They stopped three months ago, so there may not be any point now, but I wrote to them anyway. The tool they used, FIST 1.1, is now 404 at https://fist.toolforge.org/fist/fist.php. — 🇺🇦Jeff G. ツ please ping or talk to me🇺🇦 00:10, 25 January 2024 (UTC)

- Thanks both @Jmabel and Taivo: :) A short block would not be enough in this case, they just love trolling (also while logged out), surely will start trolling elsewhere (and at this point I would consider a lock)! Superpes15 (talk) 16:46, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
